Nat has a background in mechanical engineering and fluid mechanics and will work with us on the sticky secretions and slippery surfaces of carnivorous plant traps. His work is part of an <a href=\"https:\/\/mechecolab.blogs.bristol.ac.uk\/research\/conferring-carnivorous-plant-like-traits-by-single-gene-transfer\/\">ambitious collaborative project<\/a> aiming to identify and characterise traits of carnivorous plants that may help to improve the pest resistance and yield of crop plants.
