Congratulations to Igor and Skylar for winning runner-up poster prizes at two UK conferences recently. Igor’s poster was among the winning entries at the Annual UK Plant Biomechanics Conference in Leeds in late March. This was particularly remarkable as Igor is only 6 months into his Masters by Research project and consequently has much less data to show than a more advanced PhD student or postdoc. It was really nice to see a Masters student poster recognized in poster competition – what a boost for Igor’s motivation!

Less than two weeks later, Skylar also won a runner-up prize at the Genetics Society Seed Plant Meeting in Durham. Both build on a long-standing track record of award-winning posters and talks in our lab – you can check out some examples here.
